Rector's Message
 Welcome to International University of Sarajevo. Located in Ilidza near Sarajevo is one of the largest educational projects in the Balkan region. We are a recognized higher education institution committed to invest in future generations. International University of Sarajevo (IUS), as the first international university in Bosnia and Herzegovina, contributes to, regional and global competitiveness of this war-shattered country. IUS provides education that effectively develops intellectual capabilities turning young talents into successful professionals, experts and responsible citizens of their countries.
I am delighted to realize what IUS has achieved since its establishment in 2003. Undoubtedly, International University of Sarajevo is a remarkable academic institution offering quality-oriented and modern study programs. I also truly believe the formula for a university of excellence is great students, great faculty and staff and great facilities. You'll find it all here at IUS.
Our students are the most diverse and the adjective "international" in our case really has full meaning. More than 1200 students are seeking degrees at IUS, and the number is increasing each semester. Students come to our campus from every country in this region, every nation in the world to create and enjoy exceptional multicultural environment. International University of Sarajevo focuses on innovative study programs and an interdisciplinary approach in education.
We offer a challenging intellectual environment with more than 10 study programs within 3 faculties ranging from Engineering and Natural Science across Arts and Social Sciences to Business Administration and Humanities – and are eager to constantly expend its scope. Education at International University of Sarajevo inspires and enables students to grow intellectually, to be ready for work-life in particular, and to contribute effectively to the society in general.
IUS English Language School (ELS) providing very intensive and demanding program for students who are admitted at IUS without required level of language skills. More than 30 well qualified professionals are helping to our students be fully involved in the faculty programs.
