Lejla Panjeta je vanredni profesor iz oblasti filmskih studija, vizuelnih komunikacija i ideologije na Fakultetu umjetnosti i društvenih nauka Internacionalnog univerziteta u Sarajevu. Diplomira multimedijalnu režiju i žurnalistiku, magistrira komunikologiju i doktorira filmsku propagandu iz oblasti komunikacijskih nauka. Radila je na Akademiji scenskih umjetnosti Univerziteta u Sarajevu, Akademiji dramskih umjetnosti Univerziteta u Tuzli, Pedagoškom fakultetu Univerziteta u Zenici. Autor je knjiga Industrija iluzija: Film & Propaganda, Filmska propaganda i marketing, Dijelektika nestajanja, Telenovela - fabrika ljubavi: Uvod u produkciju i žanr i Potreba za smislom: Mit, manipulacija i film. Režirala je u pozorištu i filmu. Dobitnica je nagrade za najbolju knjigu iz oblasti umjetnosti 24. Medjunarodnog sajma knjiga u BiH za knjigu eseja "Nove (i stare) laži". Bavi se istraživanjima iz oblasti propagande, estetike, filmskih i medijskih studija.

Dr. Lejla Panjeta is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design of the International University of Sarajevo. She teaches Introduction to Visual Communication, Visual Culture and Ideology, Moving Pictures, Cinema Ideology and Psychoanalysis, Camera Image Screen, Film Grammar, and History of Cinema. 

Born in Sarajevo and graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts and the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Sarajevo. She holds a Doctor of Social Sciences degree from the Faculty of Philosophy in the scholarly field of Communication and Film Studies.

She lectured and supervised the courses Basics of Directing in Theatre and Film, Drama and Film, Drama and Film in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Acting for Film and TV, Aesthetics, and Film Theory at the University of Tuzla, University of Zenica, and University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

She worked as Program Director in production of feature movies in Heft production. Also directed in theater and is a director of awarded documentary film His Highness the Wheel. 

Her book Industry of Illusions – Film & Propaganda was awarded by the Foundation for Publishing of the Federation of Bosnia. She is a coauthor and editor of the bilingual Bosnian-Spanish book Telenovela – Fabrika ljubavi: Uvod u žanr i produkciju (Telenovela – La Fábrica del amor: Introducción en el género y a la producción). In 2006 IP Svjetlost Sarajevo published her book Potreba za smislom: Mit, Manipulacija i Film (Myth, Manipulation and Film: Manufacturing of Sense and Meaning). She won the Best Book Award in the field of arts for her essays "New (and the Old) Lies" from the XXIV International Book Exhibition of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2012. Her research interests are in the fields of aesthetics, propaganda, media and film studies.
