ADMISSION AND ACADEMIC CRITERIA
A valid high school diploma is needed for acceptance to IUS. An international certificate of English proficiency (like TOEFL or IELTS) is needed to begin the freshman year. Alternatively, a student can take the English Language Proficiency Exam given by IUS. Students without sufficient knowledge of English Language will have to take the intensive English Language Program. Applicants from Bosnia may be asked to take the IUS Entrance Exam.
All applicants are evaluated on the basis of their high school performance and possible interview. Turkish applicants are accepted based on their recent YGS or SAT scores. IUS may ask the candidates to take a Student Selection Test in case of excessive applications or for eligibility to financial support. Transfer students from other universities are encouraged to apply with the official transcripts.
FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
IUS welcomes students from all over the world. The university offers a peaceful learning and sharing environment to students from all countries, languages and cultures. There is nearby accomodation at affordable prices. Write to email@example.com for details on travel, accomodation, food and prices. İnternational students will also be learning Bosnian language for basic communication with the local community. Courses for learning a second language can be provided as electives in case of sufficient demand. Admission of students will be based on academic performance as measured by high school transcripts and interviews. (Turkish students are ranked based on YGS results. Those without valid or recent YGS results may apply with accepted international exam scores like SAT. Each IUS student is assigned with an academic advisor who guides the student in the academic matters.
