Epiphany: Journal of Transdisciplinary Studies (ISSN 1840-3719) is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the promotion of scholarly publication in humanities and social sciences. First published in 2008, Epiphany is a bi-annual publication affiliated to Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, at the International University of Sarajevo in B&H.
The journal aims to promote transdisciplinary studies. “Transdisciplinary” connotes a research strategy that crosses many disciplinary boundaries to create a holistic approach. It refers to concepts or field research methods originally developed in one discipline, but now widely used by other disciplines in the area of humanities and social sciences including anthropology, philosophy, economics, media studies, history, psychology, sociology, visual and performing arts, literature, technology and cultural studies. Our mission is to provide the global academic community with a comprehensive and unique synthesis of different areas and spectra of knowledge. Our ultimate aim is to create both a holistic and all-embracing approach to humanities and social sciences. We invite scholars interested in transcending classical scholarship to submit their manuscripts to Epiphany. We also welcome well-argued and cogent critical responses to articles Epiphany has already published if the responses also make an original contribution in their own right. The manuscript submitters should note that all submissions are assessed by at least two area specialists. The final decision to publish or reject a submission rest solely with the editor-in-chief of Epiphany. Epiphany is currently indexed in The Directory of Open Access Journals (http://www.doaj.org).
