BIOGRAPHY

Jasmin Šutković was born in Travnik, 23th September 1984.

He received his BSc degree in Biological Science and Bioengineering from the International University of Sarajevo at BiH in 2009, as the first Bosnian student at IUS. In 2014 he completed his MSc and in 2020 his Ph.D. at the Department of Genetics and Bioengineering at IUS. In the year 2010, he became an assistant at the IUS, department Genetics and Bioengineering, and in 2014 a senior assistant. In 2013 he was appointed as the management assistant for the Research and Development Center (RDC) in IUS and in 2015 as vice manager of RDC. During his academic carrier, he has authored and co-authored several scientific indexed journal papers. From 2013, he coordinates the work and management of Genetics and Bioengineering laboratories, at the Research and Development Center of the International University of Sarajevo. He is actively involved in the scientific field of Bioengineering research, Genetic Engineering, and Bioinformatics, especially focusing on plant model organisms. The acquired knowledge and experience he applies very successfully during his academic responsibilities. Married, has 2 children.
