Lejla Mahmutovic is an Assistant Professor at the International University in Sarajevo within the Department of Genetics and Bioengineering. In 2021, she completed her PhD in the field of cancer research and pharmacokinetics. Her background includes hands-on experience in a cell culture laboratory, and she has actively contributed to diverse projects within this field. Presently, she serves as a Senior Researcher on the IVENT Project, a venture supported by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Sarajevo Canton. She has published in reputable journals, such as Frontiers in Pharmacology, Human Genomics, and MDPI (Metabolites, Viruses, Microorganisms). She currently holds the position of Manager at the Research and Development Center at IUS.
