Dr. Nerma Omićević is a professor at the Architecture Program and the Architecture Program Coordinator, within the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences of the International University of Sarajevo. She finished her bachelor's and master's degree at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Sarajevo and defended her doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb. The thesis of her doctoral dissertation was related to the identity of urbanscapes during disasters and post disasters. She worked on several design projects, from the initial idea to the project development and realization. The projects included the design of hotels, residential buildings, educational objects and landscape design. She continued her professional career in the government sector as an expert associate, working on several design projects and being responsible for the analysis and research development of the recycling project in Sarajevo. Her professional career path led her eventually to the academic field of interest.
