IUS Accreditations

First university outside Türkiye to receive this prestigious 5-year accreditation. YÖKAK is EQAR-registered and operates per ESG 2015 — giving this accreditation full European recognition. The recognition formally certifies that IUS meets European Standards and Guidelines (ESG) across governance, education, research, administrative processes, and facilities.

IUS English Language School (ELS) is the first internationally accredited university English language foundation program in the Balkans. First accredited by EAQUALS in 2017 and re-inspected and renewed in 2022, the accreditation confirms high standards across teaching, course design, learning resources, testing, evaluation, student welfare, and the accuracy of all publicity materials.

Six IUS Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS) study programs have been awarded ASIIN accreditation for a five-year period, effective from June 2026 until September 2031. ASIIN is a leading German accreditation agency specializing in engineering, computer science, natural sciences, mathematics and related disciplines — and a registered European quality assurance agency whose accreditation decisions are listed in the European Database of External Quality Assurance Results (DEQAR). The evaluation is aligned with the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG 2015) and the European Qualifications Framework, and applies discipline-specific standards for each program.
