The special issue of Epiphany: Journal of Transdisciplinary Studies for 2016 is aimed at covering the subjects on socio-political and economic prospects of Western Balkans integration in the EU. While the EU is experiencing internal crisis due to dissatisfaction of some member states and immigration challenge, Western Balkans countries are still on the path to the EU integration process, eagerly waiting to open new chapters as to reform their legal, social, institutional, financial, economic, educational and other dimensions of their states. Special issue of Epiphany aims to promote an interdisciplinary approach in dealing with different socio-political and economic prospects of the Western Balkans integration in the EU. Therefore, this issue is open to scholars from different disciplines including political sciences, sociology, history, law, literature and media. Specific topics could revolve around the following: governance; state-building; political stability; political parties and systems; corruption and governance; elections and voting; NGOs and civil society; institutions and bureaucracy; social media , communication and youth; political participation; regional cooperation and integration; regional security; history and national identity; conflict resolution and peace building; globalization and the EU integration; refugees and migration crisis; cultural, political and religious transitions; nation-building and democracy; economic developments and investments; trade and finance; business administration and management; foreign investments and trade; marketing; political sociology; culture and multiculturalism; religion; education; socio-politics of identity. Academicians, scholars, professionals and policy-makers are invited to submit their papers for the special issue related to the above-mentioned topics.
