In the Legacy of 1992–1995: Youth, Memory and Peacebuilding in Bosnia and Herzegovina

From September 9–11, 2026, the International University of Sarajevo will host a two-day program dedicated to the role of youth, memory and peacebuilding in shaping a more peaceful and responsible future.

Bringing together young people, organizations and partners around themes of remembrance, dialogue and reconciliation, the program will create space for reflection on the legacy of the 1992–1995 war and on the responsibility of new generations to preserve memory while contributing to lasting peace.
