ASIIN Accreditation

Six IUS Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences programs have been awarded ASIIN accreditation for a five-year period — validated by Germany's leading engineering and natural sciences accreditation agency and listed in the European DEQAR quality assurance database.

FENS Programs Six Programs Accredited DEQAR Listed European Standards (ESG)

IUS has achieved another significant milestone in its commitment to academic excellence — six Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences programs have been awarded ASIIN accreditation for a five-year period, effective from June 2026 until September 2031.

Founded to serve engineering and applied sciences education, ASIIN is a leading German accreditation agency specializing in engineering, computer science, natural sciences, mathematics and related disciplines. As a registered European quality assurance agency, ASIIN assesses whether study programs are academically sound, appropriately structured and aligned with internationally recognized standards.

All finalized accreditation decisions and certificates are listed in the Database of External Quality Assurance Results (DEQAR), ensuring transparency and public access to the outcomes of the external quality assurance process.

The accreditation of the study programs represents an important achievement for both FENS and IUS — confirming the Faculty's ability to uphold high academic standards across a broad range of disciplines.

ASIIN's accreditation criteria are aligned with the European Qualifications Framework and the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG) for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area. The process also applies discipline-specific standards, ensuring that each program is evaluated in accordance with the expectations of its academic field and related profession.

The evaluation process included comprehensive self-assessments and independent external reviews conducted by experts with relevant academic and professional experience. IUS hosted ASIIN site visits earlier in 2026, further demonstrating the University's commitment to transparency, accountability and continuous development.
