Altijana Hromić-Jahjefendić, Dr. rer. nat., is an Associate Professor of Genetics and Bioengineering Department. She earned her Ph.D. in 2017 at The University of Graz, Austria. She is currently Acting Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS). Her research interests include cancer research and biochemistry (with the focus on enzymes). She has published in several reputable journals, such as the MDPI series (Biomedicines, Vaccines, Viruses, Microorganisms and IJMS), FEBS, Nature Scientific Reports, Cellular Signalling and PLoS One. She is currently engaged as a Senior Researcher and IUS Project Coordinator at the DeepGreenInno Project funded by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology and a Project Coordinator at the IVENT Project funded by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Sarajevo Canton.
