Dr. Edin Jahić has been a professor of architecture at the International University of Sarajevo since 2011 where he teaches a range of topics such as building construction to structural design, as well as history and studio design courses. He was previously a faculty member at the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Tuzla since 1998. At the beginning of his career in 1986, he worked in the construction industry, building supervision, architectural design, and planning management. He designed and supervised several residential and religious buildings. Dr. Edin holds the BSc, MSc, and PhD degrees from the University of Sarajevo. His earliest research interests lie in building construction, and the efficiency of structural systems, ranging from theory to design and implementation. He has collaborated actively with engineers and researchers on various problems of building construction and technologies. Later, his research interest continued in Islamic architecture in Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially the preservation of authentic building values dating from the 15th to the 19th century. Dr. Edin is the author of numerous journal articles, conference papers, and four university textbooks.
