Kanita Karađuzović-Hadžiabdic, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Computer Sciences and Engineering and Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Research. She earned her PhD from the International University of Sarajevo in 2016. In 2001 she obtained her Master degree at the Oxford University. From 2017-2020 she has been the Head of Department of Engineering and Programme Coordinator of Computer Sciences and Engineering Study Programme. Her research interests are in the field of artificial intelligence (applied in biomedicine). She is the author of a number of indexed scientific articles, published in high impact journals. From 2019-2023 she was engaged as a Senior Researcher and IUS Project Coordinator of Horizon2020 funded COVIRNA project. The project was awarded under the topic of “Medical technologies, Digital tools and Artificial Intelligence (AI) analytics to improve surveillance and care at high Technology Readiness Levels”, led by the Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH).
