Dr. Lejla Mustoo Başer is a clinical psychologist, accredited integrative psychotherapist, and works as an Assistant Professor at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS). She has authored book chapters and scientific articles in psychology, psychotherapy, and medicine, with publications in reputable journals such as Frontiers in Psychology and Elsevier’s Addictive Behaviors Reports. Her research interests include psychotherapy, marital dynamics, adolescence, education, aging, metacognition, and schizophrenia, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary approaches that integrate physics, synergetics, and complexity science. This focus formed the basis of her doctoral dissertation, which combines psychotherapeutic practice with nonlinear modeling via the Synergetic Navigation System (SNS). She completed Integrative Psychotherapy education at the Academy of Psychotherapy, BHIDAPA (EAPTI), as part of the first generation of integrative psychotherapists for adults in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She also participates in the EU co-funded Core-Ed Academy Project, promoting inclusion and shared values in juvenile justice.
