Mahir Hafizovic is a skilled professional with a master’s degree in mechanical engineering, specializing in environmental engineering. He is currently a PhD student at the International University of Sarajevo, focusing on numerical simulations of fluid flow and heat transfer, with a particular interest in urban air quality and pollution dispersion. Mahir leverages advanced computational techniques to address critical environmental challenges, including air quality and pollution dynamics. He has contributed to environmental and social impact assessments for major infrastructure projects funded by International Financial Institutions. His work includes assessing air quality during motorway construction, pollution dispersion from fertilizer factories, odour dispersion from wastewater plants, ventilation and air quality in enclosed spaces, cooling of electrical transformers in substations, and heat transfer in underground thermal energy storage systems. Mahir actively engages in the scientific community by presenting at international conferences and publishing in top-tier journals, demonstrating his dedication to advancing both knowledge and practical solutions in fluid flow, heat transfer, and environmental engineering.
