Petar Tasić has earned his PhD in the field of materials and welding in 2022, and since then holds position of assistant professor at University of Sarajevo and International University of Sarajevo. Prior to that he worked as a teaching assistant at University of Sarajevo for 10 years, dealing with courses related to welding, heat treatment and materials science. During that period, he helped to establish and introduce several new courses. From 2007 to 2009 he spent three years at TU Graz, Austria, working in project related to application of solid-state welding techniques in manufacturing. He has published more than 50 journal and conference papers, is co-author of one book and several training books, and has been mentor for seven second cycle candidates.
