Rijad Kovač, Ph.D., is a highly experienced professional based in Bosnia and Herzegovina. As of February 2024, he serves as an Adjunct Instructor at the International University of Sarajevo, where he teaches "Regional Development and EU." Kovač holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Sarajevo. He also holds the position of Assistant Director – Research of Economic, Social, and Regional Development at the Development Programming Institute of FB&H. With a background spanning various roles in economic planning and development, Kovač has played key roles in formulating development strategies at different levels of governance, establishing and assessing public investments, conducting impact assessments, and coordinating the Economic reform program of Bosnia and Herzegovina. His expertise extends to economics, project management, and evaluation. His extensive experience includes positions at the Directorate of Economic Planning of the Council of Ministers and short-term consulting positions for various international organizations. He has been involved in numerous projects, including policy paper development, training on work planning and reporting, and evaluations.
