
Ubeydullah (Ubeyd) Sakin graduated from the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) with a BA in International Relations in 2011. He went on to complete his MA in Modern Turkish Studies at Istanbul Şehir University and his PhD in Local Governments and Urban Politics at Marmara University, both with distinction. His doctoral research examined organizational structure and decentralized governance, applying Living Systems Theory to the corporate structure of a metropolitan municipality.
He holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, and his interests lie at the intersection of public administration and humanitarian action, particularly strategic management, organizational development, and humanitarian coordination. Professionally, he brings more than fifteen years of experience across the public and humanitarian sectors, working in multiple contexts from the Middle-East to the Balkans.
He currently serves as Adjunct Instructor at IUS and Head of Office at the Turkish Red Crescent Delegation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
