Eastern Anatolia Culture and History Program - Doğu Anadolu Kültür ve Tarih Programı
Our institution organizes various programs aimed at enhancing the knowledge of young people from our diaspora about the history, culture, and geography of different regions of Türkiye. In 2025, for the first time, we will launch the Eastern Anatolia Culture and History Program, designed to highlight the region’s crucial role as the gateway for Turks into Anatolia throughout the Seljuk, Anatolian Beyliks, Ottoman, and Republican periods. This will be achieved through educational sessions and cultural excursions.
As part of the program, courses on the historical trajectory of Turkish-Armenian relations and the events of 1915 will be conducted with the support of Kafkas University and Van Yüzüncü Yıl University. Additionally, to provide a comprehensive perspective on Eastern Anatolia’s recent history and offer firsthand learning experiences of historical events, participants will visit sites such as Van Zeve, Kars Pergit, and Subatan villages, which bear witness to significant historical incidents.
