International Conference at IUS to Explore Ethical Finance, Innovation, and Sustainability
Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina – June 18–19, 2025
The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) will host a major international conference titled "Values for Impact: Ethical Finance, Innovation and Sustainable Growth" on Wednesday and Thursday, June 18–19, 2025. The event is organized in collaboration with the University of Dundee (United Kingdom), Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University (Turkey), as well as IIUM, UIS, and INCEIF University (Malaysia), and the Center for Advanced Studies (Sarajevo).
The opening ceremony will take place on Wednesday, June 18, at 9:30 AM at the IUS campus (Building A, Ground Floor). Among the keynote speakers are Dr. Sami Al-Suwailem, Director General of the Islamic Development Bank Institute, Dr. Ahmet Albayrak, Executive Vice President of Kuveyt Türk Bank, and leading academics and researchers from the United States, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. The conference will also host three recipients of the Islamic Development Bank Prize for contributions to the development of Islamic economics.
Strategic partner of the conference is the Islamic Development Bank Institute, with Kuveyt Türk Bank serving as the platinum sponsor. The AI in Finance panel is sponsored by BH Telecom and co-sponsored by ARTI Analytics.
The conference will bring together scholars, industry professionals, policymakers, and representatives of international institutions from over 20 countries, aiming to foster constructive dialogue on reshaping financial systems through ethical values, technological innovation, and sustainability.
The two-day program features more than 60 presentations, panel discussions, and research sessions, with a focus on Islamic finance, ESG criteria, digital banking innovation, and the role of faith and ethics in contemporary economic development.
