Founded in 2004, the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) is located in the beautiful city of Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. IUS is an English-language university with students from over 55 countries and staff from over 20 different countries. The university aims to double its student body in the next five years. Accordingly, IUS seeks candidates in all ranks holding a doctoral degree (ABDs also considered) from reputable universities. Applicants who have an active teaching and research agenda, with industry or teaching experience are especially encouraged to apply. Salary and rank of appointment will be commensurate with experience.
Minimum qualifications:
- PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field (ABDs - all but dissertation will also be considered);
- Commitment to teaching and mentoring students and to pursue research;
- Willingness to teach across a range of Computer Science, Software engineering, and IT subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
- The ability to teach data science, big data, artificial intelligence and related courses is a plus.
Desired qualifications:
- Experience in teaching courses in their field of expertise and mentoring students;
- Industry experience;
- An active research agenda.
